Now Playing: Balcony - Studio Pixel

Diary of a Wimpy Kid 4 is somehow more dated than the preceeding movies. The whole plot is Greg wants to get the attention of a flashy letsplayer... in 2017. Is the movie supposed to take place in the early 10s when weird videos went viral and every letplayer liked to dye their hair. But by, 2017 that style was dying and by now, doesn't even exist.

Compaired to the older movies where the most dated thing was Rodrick being punk, but those books came out in the late 2000s and their adaptations were from the very early 2010s so it gets a pass

This review though. Had a good chuckle

Despite looking like a Super Nintendo game with more fluid animations, M&L Bowser's Inside Story uses a 3d engine.

Probably for video effects like sprite scaling and explosions... and jumping lol. It was probably like the liberation of france when AlphaDream learned about the DS's specs, unless Superstar Saga had a 3D engine as well on the GBA. Did you know there was a 3D platformer based off of a French Comic on the GBA.

If my site isn't any indication, my favorite aesthetic is the futuristic or y2k aesthetic. The Cyber Y2K Aesthetic as Xerophyte put it.

I really like this style, I hope it comes back. Here's a gallery from the web design museum of some y2k sites

What is up with male writers in describing a women's appearence by describing her breasts. Like, i've seen some reddit posts from r/menwritingwomen and every single one of them shows a passage that make at least one mention of boobs.

I'm a straight guy and I'm genuinly confused like, do female writers do the same thing? Is there some kind of standard? Cults? Are there boob cults that male writers join that requires them to always describes a female character's boobs?

As bad as they are, they make one hell of a drinking game. Too bad I'm too young to do that.

I honestly never got the appeal of New Horizons. Played it for like a few weeks and immediatly dropped it after.

My biggest problem is that it's basically New Leaf but stripped of most of it's fun. Character dialog is kinda boring, several features that I thought were simply unlockables were missing and brought back through updates for some reason, and the UI is a nightmare.

Also the fanbase just scares me... poor Raymond

The elections are over (THANK GOD) Had to install an anti-spam software on my phone because news companies kept spamming my number. While I was suffering the wrath of the American political community I was looking into getting some random and somewhat useless stuff for my PC like soundcards with midi support and maybe FM if they still make those, those 5.25 media bars with SD card slots so I can view the pictures I've taken on my Switch, and even floppy drives so I can play DOS games. There is one DOS game that I'm after. It's one of those 90s activity centers you gave kids so you can shut them up while you watched X-Files It seems things haven't changed as parents nowadays are just giving their kids phones to play angry birds, or my generation with Gameboys and DSes. I don't remember the name but I do remember some of my favorite minigames like one where you built stuff in a sandbox and another where you played as an ant scurrying around a picnic blanket for dropped foods. 9-year-old me used to pretend to look for some books at the kids section of the library just to play the game. 9-year-old me was also dumb because I'm pretty sure it was extremly obvious to my parents that I only cared about being an epic gamer at the library

I am amused by the fact that's my very first PC gaming experience outside of Newgrounds and Coolmath flash games. While everyone else was playig Minecraft, I studied the ant.

The question I have now is: Why would they get, I assume, Windows 98 machines and keep them for like 15 years for kids to play on? My theory is that the staff is damn good at upkeeping hardware. Either that or they just replaced them every few years or whatever

It's honestly bizarre seeing compilations of videos from tiktok with titles like (Gen Z being the Chaotic good generation) or whatever. It really bothers me.

Who the hell makes these and why?
